Peter Pan... just a story

Long – long ago in a large comfortable house of London, there lived Mr. & Mrs. Darling and their three children Wendy, John and Michael. Nana, their pet dog would take care and remain watchful when the children would sleep in their nursery.

The favourite time of Darling children was bedtime when their mother would tell them nice stories and the children loved to her those. Nana would also hear the stories quite attentively and enjoyed those.

Beside Darling children, there was yet another one who eagerly awaited for this time. He was Peter Pan, a boy from alien land. Every night Peter Pan would fly up to the nursery window and hiding there he listening the stories quietly. Often Peter Pan would dream to have a mother who could tell him story like their.

One night when the stories were over the mother went away in her bed room leaving the children sleeping peaceful in their nursery, Peter Pan curiously entered through window with Tinker Bell, a tiny fairy had also accompanied him. After having a quiet look nursery Peter Pan and Tinker Bell jumped out of nursery through window. The watchful dog Nana leaped after Peter Pan. When saw him jumping out of the window he would caught hold of Peter Pan’s shadow.  Nana rippled it off Peter Pan and left it in the nursery.

Peter Pan was seperated from his shadow, so to get it back, he entered the nursery with tinker bell. Peter Pan was contious so the children should not be disturbed but not tinker. The tiny fairy was flying all over the nursery with noisy buzzing sound in search of the shadow. Before Peter Pan would caution her, windy awoke with the unusual sound. She looked at Peter Pan in amazement and exclaimed, ”who are you and what are you doing here?”
“I am Peter Pan and she is fairy Tinker Bell, “ said the boy who was dressed in creamy. “I am here to get my shadow.”
To here this windy wondered. ” How can one be seperated from his shadow.” however she stitched shadow back to its place.

Later Peter Pan told windy that he was from an alien land which named Never never land and with his lived lost boys who had fled from their houses in search of adventures. Peter Pan apprised Wendy about his love for bedtime story and also that he was regular listener of their night stories. Peter Pan expressed his long crave to have someone like here they have who could tell interesting stories to the lost boys.

Peter Pan asked Wendy if she could fill up the place of a mother in the lost boys lives and come along to Never never land to stay with them and tell nice stories.

After a little thinking Wendy agreed to this adventures proposal. She awoke John and Michael and told them about the exciting venture. The duo were even more eager to see Tinker Bell promptly sprinkled fairy dust I three of them. Wendy John and Michael were armed to fly.

“Follow me!” Peter Pan commanded as he flew for Never never land o the way Peter Pan informed them more about Never never land and their life there. He told about the boisterous red Indians who often fight violently. Peter Pan apprised the children about ferocious beasts and beautiful mermaids, which they may found around their unique land.

However, Peter Pan talked most about captain Hook, a pirate and his group. When Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Darling Children reached near the island and sudden blast terrorised them. Wendy cried,” what is happening?”
“ Captain Hook and his group has attacked o us. “ hurriedly informed Peter Pan,” he wants to avenge of me for once I cut off one of this hand and threw I the sea which crocodile promptly grabbed I its jaws. Now captain look wears an iron hook at the place of his cut off hand.”

Peter Pan was a brave and cautious boy. He carefully led his friends to Never Never Land escaping the shootouts from the pirates. Peter Pan introduced his new friends to the lost boys. They all happily greeted Wendy, John 7 Michael.

That night Wendy told the lost boys beautiful stories like a wonderful mother, the lost boys looked affection Wendy and her nice stories very much.

On the next days Peter Pan, Wendy, John Michael & the boys of the island went for picnic o the rocks of mermaids lagoon. They were playing and picnicking on that beautiful place, where suddenly they heard the scream of Tiger Lily, the Red Indian princess of the nearby island. She was seized by the pirates who were trying to kidnap her. Peter Pan ran for the princess rescue. He fought bravely and freed her from the pirate’s clueh. It made Captain Hook angry; he rushed with a huge sword to catch Peter Pan and thus preventing him from taking away the princess.

But the crocodile from which captain was so much terrified appeared as if from no where and prevented him from running after Peter Pan and the princess.

The jubilant red Indians invited Peter Pan, Wendy returned to the lost boys, since they were all alone.

After sending the boys an their bed, Wendy backed a delicious cake for peter. Before going to her bed she wrote a few lines on his name to eat the cake after he comes back.

Hardly, Wendy lay on her bed; the door was a broke of by terrifying captain Hook and other pirate. With roaring cruel laugh captain Hook ordered to seize the boys and Wendy. The pirates tied the boys and Wendy with a thick rope. The boys screamed in fright.

The wicked Hook sprinkled poison powder on the cake before leaving the place with Wendy and the lost boys. Captain Hook took them to this ship and imprisoned them there.

The tiny Tinker Bell who was inside the house escape from the eyes of captains Hook. But she witnessed the evil plan of Hook to kill Peter Pan. Late in the night when Peter Pan returned, he saw a beautiful cake was placed on the table with Wendy’s note to have that. “Ah, what a beautiful cake? It must be very delicious!” exclaimed Peter Pan as he lifted a big piece of cake to grab in his mouth. Fortunately Tinker bell reached I time and dashed to cake piece, which resulted with fall. Peter Pan was little shocked and angry on Tinker Bell’s strange behavior. However the fairy told Peter Pan everything and asked to hurry up to the captain’s ship to free the children and Wendy.

Peter pan and Tinker Bell rushed to the ship. They stealthily aboard the ship and quietly crept in to the cabin. Peter Pan and Tinker his themselves there cleverly and they began creating strange horrible sound. Hook was a coward. He sent a few of the imprisoned boys inside the cabin to discover the reason.

Peter Pan was waiting for this moment. He hid the boys safely and swiftly when the boys did not return Hook was even more frightened the sent the rest of the boys to look in to the matter. Peter Pan was impatiently waiting for it. Once all the boys were inside he briefed them to fight against the Hook and other pirates. Captain Hook and pirates were unwarned. Peter Pan and his army of lost boys charged fiercely on Hook and other pirates. Peter Pan wanted to settle the matter forever. The pirates were not prepared for this sudden fight. Soon Peter Pan proved heavier on captain. Hook could not bear one powerful stroke of Peter Pan. He lost his balance. Slipped over board. The crocodile who was so fond of captain’s flesh was waiting just down. It promptly chapped in its huge sharp jaws.

Peter Pan and his army won the battle. The boys cheered aloud on their success. The other pirates surrendered in front of Peter Pan. Peter Pan warned them against any mischief in future and let them go.

Wendy thoughts that she and her brother should also return home so Peter Pan and Tinker Bell took them to their nursery. The window was still open. Everyone entered through the window. John and Michael were terribly tired after enjoying an adventurous night. So they straightaway landed on their bed.

It was time to return to Never never land for Peter Pan and Tinker Bell but Wendy was sad. She wanted that Peter Pan should stay with her. “ I will miss you peter!” she said in low voice. “Please stay with us. My mom is very nice. She will warmly welcome you.”

“In your world everyone has to grow up but not in my world. There I can stay as small as I am forever and I want to remain like this, ”said Peter Pan. But before leaving Peter and Tinker Bell promised to visits them again to take them to the wonderous land. The children waved them happily as Peter Pan and Tinker flew towards their strange land.

A separate pot for mother

Once upon a time in a far off village there lived a polter family. The family comprised the young polter, his wife, their small son and the old mother of the polter.

Though the family was small and hardly had any substantial problem, it would often see feud between the polter’s young wife and old mother on peltry issues. The polter’s wife always insisted with her husband to make separate arrangement for his old mother. However, the polter was not convinced with his wife. The polter would say to his wife, “Mother is old and alone. How can she live in separate house? Life long she worked hard to look after the family and cared for each of my requirement when I was small. Now when I’m grown up, It’s my duty to give her comfort. Being my wife you too should co-operate and take care of her.”

But the self-centered wife had hardly any impact of these wise words, rather she argued, “What difference it would make if she stays in a different hut adjacent to ours. I am ready to prepare food for her, which she can collect from here every morning and evening. I’ll even take care of her if she stays separately. But I don’t want her and her intrusion here in my family. Beside this, our growing child requires a lot of attention and if we keep on staying amidst such unpeace that will not be healthy for him as well.”

The husband and wife’s quarrel often ended without any conclusion. The polter was not ready to separate his old mother and his wife was hell bent to throw the mother out of her house.

After day’s hard work when the polter would return home, the quarrel and heated argument between the two women welcomed him everyday. Day be day the family unpeace was aggravating. Fade up of the entire quarrel, the polter decided to build separate hut for his mother to avoid more ugly sense.

At some distance away from his house he built a small hut for his old mother. He shifted his mother’s bed and clothes there. Beside this he placed two pots, one for water and other for her food.

Every morning and evening when the food was cooked, the old woman would turn up to her daughter in law with the food pot in her hand. The polter’s wife would fill the pot with the cooked food. The old woman then quietly returned to her hut.

The polter’s wife was happy and content with the new arrangement but not her little son Gopal. He was quite quizzed and pieced with the whole affair. The child was quite attached to his grandma and now when she was not living with him, he was filling lovely and hurt. Everyday he would see his Grandmother coming to his place to collect food and then quietly going away. Gopal tried to enquire with his father, the reason for such shift. But the polter evaded his son’s question considering him small to explain the complexities of the relations.

Small Gopal could not get answer for his quires but his mind was in unrest. He would often sneak out of his house and reach the Grandma’s hut. The old lady rejoiced to see her grandson. She loved him and told interesting stories. It went like this for some time. Gradually Gopal began accepting the new arrangement. probably he consoled his heart with the reasoning that all and every mothers are separated by their grown up sons when they have their own family.

One day the polter was away on some business. Small Gopal who was playing in the courtyard noticed pot wheel unattended. Everyday he would see his father making beautiful pots on the wheel. So to try one, he went there and began making a pot with his small hands.

Meanwhile, the polter’s wife stepped out in the courtyard angel saw her son building a pot. She was happily surprised on her young son’s deftness. “Brilliant!” she murmured, “ He will certainly bring laurel for the family one day.”

The overwhelmed mother went to her son and sat beside him. She them patted him affectionately and asked softly, “For whom are you making pot, my sweetheart!”
“For you, Mom!” reply came at once from the son.
The mother was all too glad to hear this. “Really!” cried the overjoyed mother, “O my darling, How much you love your mother!”
Gopal said, “Now, I am making this pot for you because you’ll require it when I’ll grow up and get married. That time you’ll have to stay separately and you’ll come with this pot to ask food from my wife.”

The mother was stunned to hear her little one’s innocent explanation. All her joy evaporated. She held her head with both of her hands and exclaimed, “What I did? I dug up the pit for my own grave! I corrupted my little one’s mind with the wrong way of thinking.” The tears rolled down from the eyes of the polter’s wife. The tears of regret wiped out all the malign against her mother in law. Her heart was broadened and pure now.

She got up and rushed to the old woman’s nut. The mother in law was sitting out in front of her nut. The polter’s wife slowly went there and bowed on her feet. She said, “Mother, Please forgive me for all my past misdeeds. I was unwise. In my ignorance, I hurt you many times. But, now I’m aware of my follies and so I promise you to take a good care of you. Please come back to your house, mother.”

The woman’s voice was choked with emotion. The old woman rose her up and hugged passionately. The mother and daughter in laws then returned home to live together happily thereafter.
